We, established in 1922 as a wholesaler and retailer of sake and soy sauce, started the production of sauces in 1950. ■ Okonomi Sauce
We created Japan’s number one Okonomi Sauce by production volume in 1952. At the time, Worcester sauce was used on Okonomiyaki. However, based on comments from shopkeepers that Worcester sauce ran off the food too easily, and that they wanted a sauce that better matched the flavor of okonomiyaki, we began to make a number of improvements to the sauce, including the use of vegetables and fruit as primary ingredients. These efforts gave birth to the thick, low-salt, oil-free, healthy sauce that we know today. Okonomiyaki is nutritionally balanced, and contributes to an enjoyable meal with your family and friends. We are working hard to spread the appeal of this product around the world.
